Day 4: VAG

I've lived in the lower mainland for 35 years and somehow have never (as far as I can recall) been to the Vancouver Art Gallery. So today we went downtown to check out The Modern Woman exhibit (drawings by various French artists like Degas, Renoir, etc). Quinn spent most of the time grinning at the various ladies walking around and eliciting coos from them. She's getting quite good at that.

Upstairs was a great Emily Carr exhibit with interpretations/commentary/works by four other artists including Douglas Coupland - love his work. Evan Lee's Forest Fires works were also interesting. He took a paintbrush to still-wet freshly printed photographs of forest fires, and the resulting effect was pretty amazing.
