Quinn is getting fairly dexterous with her hands these days. She's learned to use her thumbs to manipulate toys in her hands, and passes things back and forth between them. She's also almost perfect at grabbing things on the first try. Rattling toys on her own is also fun, though she uses frantic full arm waves to do so - making me worry she's going to bop herself in the head or eye.
The Jolly Jumper is a treat, as Quinn learned to dance and wiggle in it this month. Full-on jumping is only just now starting to interest her, but she's all smiles when she figures out how to hop with both feet simultaneously.
Rolling over is still ongoing, but only from her back to her stomach. She spends longer on her tummy now that she gets herself into that position, but still needs me to rescue her when she tires of it. Crawling doesn't interest her yet.
Quinn can sit upright for long periods but needs someone to support her lower back to do it. She can also stand up with a bit of support from us, but stays that way mostly under her own strength.
Having been housebound the past two weeks with the bathroom renovation, I'm concerned that the dreaded 'stranger anxiety' might be starting a bit early. Quinn gets very quiet and less smiley in groups these days. She just looks around at everyone, taking it all in. She also starts some mild protest crying when I leave the room at times.
Never much of a babbler, Quinn is trying out a few new sounds. This week has been all about the almost-raspberry bubble blowing. Generally she likes to talk with her mouth full of some toy or other. Giggles, "mmm"'s and "hah!" sounds are her favourites when she decides to grace us with her voice.
